Some of Our Favorite Restaurants in Newport, RI

There are a smorgasbord of dining options in Newport, Rhode Island like the oldest operating

tavern in the whole United States the White Horse Tavern, built in 1673; I recommend a

beverage nestled close to the huge fireplace in the bar. However, if you are a steak person

definitely consider 22 Bowen’s located on Bowen’s Wharf. If your pallet craves fish think Black

Pearl located on the next wharf.

Newport is fortunate to offer a wide selection of B&B’s: I would have to head my list with the

Captain Simeon Potter House located on the water within an 8 minute walk from all of the

charming restaurants listed above, Inn at Castle Hill, next I would add the Cliffside Inn.

Consider a winter or spring get away to Newport, Rhode Island; one that keeps you cuddled

indoors or another that might take you to the Norman Bird Sanctuary on the hiking trails, the

Cliff Walk, Ocean Drive. A less ambitious get away would take in Newport Mansions. The

Redwood Library & Athenaeum is the oldest library in the United States.

Plan to visit Newport, RI this winter or spring.
